NewCity helps put a Personal Touch on Catering.

We love it when our clients take the time to let us know how their clients enjoy using the site or app we've made and are proud of the work we crafted together.  Brian Grove over at Personal Touch Catering took it one step further and submitted his site to the National Association of College & University Food Services Loyal E. Illustrator Tip:  Duplicate a shape along a circle

Making a shape mathematically duplicate itself along a circle sounds like something illustrator would handle flawlessly.  Well it is, if you can find it.  This not very well documented procedure I have the need for maybe 3 times a year but every time its a challenge to make Illustrator do what I want it to do.  That is until I discovered this little method.  Follow these easy steps to duplicate a shape along a circle perfectly every time.

Photoshop Tip: Kuler and CS4

 I use Kuler all the time to explore color themes for comps and in developing branded colors for clients.  Getting those colors into Photoshop or Flash has always been a clunky export then import kind of process.  Come to find out that Kuler has a direct extension window within these CS4 applications.  Kind of makes sense, but a lot of designers overlook it or simply don't know its there and it can be extremely helpful.

We picked the hottest week in August to shoot photos in Arkansas for our website. That alone should have slowed the brain of our director from New City.  But no. Good thinking, patient guidance,  and persistence resulted in compelling photos to pull eyeballs to our rail safety message.
