Hilarious commercial blast from the past
What do you get when you mix in two wanna-be NBA stars and a blue screen? (that's the thing that makes the weatherman look like he is in front of a map) You get Alan and Jerome and their fantasies of out-dribbling and out-shooting basketball pros nearly twice their size. These ads from Fox Sports cracked us up when they aired a few years ago, and are still great.

Roanoke Valley SPCA Launches
Congratulations from all of us at NewCity to the Roanoke Valley SPCA. Together we launched their newly designed site on June 1st. They've been great to work with and we enjoyed working on the site as we're all animal lovers and almost everyone here at NCM owns at least a cat or dog. (Some even have horses.)

Amazing addition to Google Maps
Google has just launched a new feature called "Street View" and the pic above is what it looks like. Yep, that's Times Square. The little orange person in the center marks your position and point of view. You can pick it up to move it to a different location or you can click the arrows on the streets to move around. SARGENT Manufacturing is a long-time client of NewCity. For 2007, they have done a complete redesign, one that has intuitive navigation, detailed content, and stronger branding. In our user testing, we received feedback that "These products are great, but how do I know which one is best for my situation?" After tossing around lots of ideas, we decided to keep it simple. A short bulleted list filled with keywords that gave off good "scent."
