NewCity is happy to be working with Scott Carter of the The Cape Pakarang Boat Yard (www.tsunamiboatproject.com) on his next project, Sailing the Great Circle.

Sailing the Great Circle SailboatAboard a 75' all wood schooner-rigged sailboat, an international crew of 10 will depart Thailand for the 28,000 nautical mile trip, to be completed in 10 months. The planned route has stops scheduled throughout the Indian Ocean, Africa, South and North America, French Polynesia and many south Pacific island countries, on to New Zealand, Australia and finally back to Southeast Asia in Thailand.

The crew of ten are not only sailing for themselves, but also circumnavigating the globe to raise awareness and funds for the prevention of AIDS and HIV infection in northern Thailand.
