Roanoke College

We partnered with Bob Rytter of Rytter Design in Baltimore, MD as he led Roanoke College through a rebranding effort with the theme “Classic for Tomorrow.” The college was established in 1842, so the theme certainly worked based on the classic styling of the campus coupled with the forward-thinking educational approach of the faculty.

As with any college or university, there are many audiences that a website must serve. Our challenge was to make relevant information available to each group while also keeping them informed about other aspects of the college. This was accomplished with careful planning of the site’s navigation and cross-promoted content.

  • 2009 CASE - Grand Gold Award - Institution-wide Branding Program
  • 2008 PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) - Gold Summit Award
  • 2008 PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) - Silver Summit Award

We took the highest award for institution-wide branding in CASE’s national Circle of Excellence! The entry included the development of the overall brand position and key messages, its presentation through brochures and the new website, and its launch through the mascot competition. Your work was simply outstanding. It was recognized as such by peers. It is working for us, giving us the biggest ever incoming freshman class. Thank you for your insight and direction, your creativity, the quality of your craft, your hustle and your patience with us.
